Recycled carbon fibre tanks
NCC and partners have to successfully reclaimed continuous carbon fibres from a whole pressure vessel and re-used them to manufacture a new pressure vessel - a significant milestone for Britain’s hydrogen capability.
Advanced Engineering is the UK’s leading showcase of the latest advances in engineering, converging innovations and the largest developments and vital information driving efficiency and profitability. The show enables UK manufacturers to grow in an ever-competitive global market, and features key industry leaders, government representatives, and innovation pitches.
From AI and digitisation for efficiency, to a focus on sustainability for innovation, our NCC speakers will be presenting on a range of capabilities to help you bridge the gap between sectors for the entire engineering and manufacturing supply chain at the Composites Forum:
Wednesday, 30 October 2024
11:30am: Matt Scott, Chief Technologist for Strategy, will be forecasting the 5-year horizon of composites technologies. More digitisation for efficiency and a stronger focus on sustainability will complement applications in extreme temperatures and the promise of a UK-sovereign materials supply chain. His presentation on “Composites Foresighting: Faster and more interconnected” and panel Q&A.
12:10pm: Jack Alcock, Technology Programme Manager for Materials and Sustainability will be presenting on “UK Carbon Fibre Innovation & Production Opportunities”.
12:20pm: Matt will be presenting on “Why should we start thinking beyond carbon-epoxy?”
12:45pm: Jack and Matt will both be in the “Future of UK Composites Q&A” panel
6:45pm: Composites UK Industry Awards Dinner
Thursday, 31 October 2024
