Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) Operator
This 2 day course opens with a generic awareness of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and how it relates to AFP process. This will be followed by the Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) fundamentals for operators covering AFP process, equipment, and safety issues in production. As well as an operator’s role in achieving quality standards.

Who should attend?
Delegates who carry out technical activities and / or provide technical input to business decisions who would like to learn more about AFP. We recommend attending our Introduction to Composite Materials Properties and Processes course as a prerequisite or have equivalent working knowledge of composites.
Objectives & Aims
Delegates will be provided with an understanding of the fundamentals of AFP machinery, materials and processes as they relate to machine operation. Gaining an awareness of typical faults that can occur in AFP processes and how they are likely to develop. Understand the key operator tasks and their importance to perform deposition and quality to support process. Machine specific training and entry to production services will be explained.
